Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary time

“PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL”

June 14, 2026

1. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we recognize Jesus in the ministers he has chosen to tend his flock, we pray to the LORD.

2. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we be bold enough as Moses was to go up the mountain to God, we pray to the LORD.

3. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we feel the LORD drawing us to himself and hear his voice name us as his special possession, his dearest people, we pray to the LORD.

4. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we recognize the gift of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice which turned us from enemies of God to his beloved, we pray to the LORD.

5. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we our LORD grace us with the courage to die for the helpless, the ungodly and the unjust, we pray to the LORD.

6. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may the Holy Spirit move our hearts to compassion for all who are troubled, abandoned, enslaved, diseased, and dying, we pray to the LORD.

7. As the kingdom of heaven is at hand, may we respond to the call serve Christ’s body wherever the LORD has placed us, we pray to the LORD.

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear our prayers and in Your Spirit, fill us always with the fire of Your love, as pray through Christ our Lord.  R: Amen.
