Stories Seldom Heard

Sr. Patricia Bruno, OP, a Dominican Sister of San Rafael, Ca. chooses stories that are seldom heard in the lectionary readings at  Mass.

This gives the reader a chance to explore some wonderful biblical stories which might not otherwise be heard.

Stories Seldom Heard includes background information on the author and the first hearers of the passage, as well as, the historical and cultural influences that helped shape the form and content of the passage.

Stories Seldom Heard  can be useful for personal prayer, retreats and group study.  My hope is that these reflections will help readers develop the necessary tools to enable them to understand scriptures better and to use the scriptures more frequently for their personal prayer.
