Prayers of the Faithful

9/20/2026

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle A

Celebrant: To our loving Father, Who knows our needs before we ask, we pray…

Deacon/Reader:

For Pope Leo, and Bishop Luis, as they assist us in discerning how we reflect God’s great generosity through our words and actions, especially toward those most in need, we pray to the Lord…

That all laboring in the vineyards of peace may be guided in wisdom, especially in Ukraine and the Middle East, and in all areas of the world where there has been discord and strife; and for our First Responders and our military, we pray to the Lord...

For those who struggle with envy and greed, that they may begin to see the many ways of how God has uniquely blessed their life and so grow in gratitude, we pray to the Lord…

For all preparing for baptism, for parents as the first Catechists of their children, and for all Catechists who assist them, that their love of God and His People may guide them as they lead others in the ways of faith, we pray to the Lord…

For those who are ill, that they may be blessed by God’s healing graces, and know His goodness in those who attend to them, we pray to the Lord…

That all those who have died may embrace the generosity of God’s mercy and the fullness of His peace, and that all those grieving, know His abiding comfort in the midst of their mourning, we pray to the Lord...

And for all our parishioners for whom this Mass is being offered, we pray to the Lord...

Celebrant: Lord, in Your kindness, graciously hear our prayers, as we offer them in the Holy Name of Your Son, through Christ our Lord.

R: Amen.
