Celebrant: In the Spirit, we offer our prayers...

Deacon/Reader:

1.   For the church of Jesus Christ, that we may recognize God’s revelation in the person of Jesus as the way for all to receive God’s justice and mercy – Lord, have pity on us and bless us.

2.   For each of us individually that we may hear the call of God and know the gifts that have been bestowed irrevocably upon each of us for the building up of the Kingdom – Lord, have pity on us and bless us. 

3.   For those in power, that they may be open to hear the wisdom of those who seek their help including immigrants and those who are food insecure or lack sufficient shelter – Lord, have pity on us and bless us.

4.   For boldness not just in proclaiming the promises of God but in approaching the Holy One with our greatest needs and those of our family, friends and neighbors – Lord, have pity on us and bless us.

5.   For the natural world that surrounds us, that we may be attentive to its cry for help and attend to its conservation and preservation – Lord, have pity on us and bless us.

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and guide us in accord with your Will, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord.    R: Amen.
