PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Holy Thursday (Cycle A)

April 2, 2026

Celebrant: God calls us from death to Life, so let us in faith turn to Him…

Deacon/Reader:

1. Lord, help us understand how we are to serve You by doing what you did in washing the feet of your disciples. We Pray to the Lord…

2. Help us claim for ourselves the model Jesus gave his first disciples and now us, by taking on the task of a servant. We Pray to the Lord…

3. Teach us how to pray in every situation we meet, Lord, as you taught your first disciples. We Pray to the Lord…

4. Give us a deeper understanding of the Eucharistic feast we share on this night; show us how to become what we eat, the body of Christ. We Pray to the Lord…

5. Open our ears and our hearts to the story of God’s Christ which we have heard on this Holy night. We Pray to the Lord…

6. This night, help us remember that we are recipients of Jesus’ Love, a Love that is always for others. We Pray to the Lord…

7. Help us remember that our baptism means we follow Jesus’ instructions: “As I have done for you, so you should also do.” We Pray to the Lord…

8. Help us follow where you lead us in joy or in fear. We Pray to the Lord…

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and with the Life of Your Love, guide us always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord. R: Amen.
