Prayers of the Faithful for July 5, 2026

14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

(Cycle A)

• We pray for Your world, Lord, and we ask you to make us peace makers who follow Your Son in these times.

• For the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in these troubled times; make us true and willing members of Your Body; show us what is ours to do now.

• Make us “alive”and ready for the claim our Baptism makes on each one of us in this time in history.

• For the elected leaders of Your world, Lord, open their hearts and their minds to what is the right and the good thing to do now.

• For Pope Leo, give him grace, courage and clarity of vision in these times.

• For the poor and persecuted in your world, make us witnesses and care givers, enlivened by the Word and Mission of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

• Help the citizens of this country take to heart and keep in mind what Jesus told us: “In as much as you did it to the least of these, you did it to me.”

• For the victims in the Venezuela earth quake; for the search and rescue teams working to recover the living and the dead; give them courage, stamina and the assurance of Your Presence through the Holy Spirit of the Living God.
