today’s Philippians reading:
one thing: forgetting what lies behind but straining forward
to what lies ahead, I continue my pursuit toward the goal,
the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.
knew the work of rebirth was not yet complete in himself.
Which we too have become aware of again this Lent – more
needs to be done in us. We know this – Christ knows it too.
He is not ready to condemn, but because of our union in him,
Christ promises to finish the work of salvation begun in us.
